Privacy Notice - Youth Review – Young People’s Consultation

Whilst the survey does not specifically ask for personal or special category data and has been created to be as anonymous as possible, due to the inclusion of free text boxes, participants may choose to voluntarily share such data with BHCC. This will be anonymised if used in the final report

Purposes & Lawful basis of processing

We are collecting your data for the purpose of informing a review of Youth Services in Brighton and Hove, to identify gaps and barriers to accessing these services and to therefore ensure that Youth Service provision meets the needs of Young People in Brighton & Hove. A report will be written and presented to the relevant Council Committee.

  • We have lawful basis for processing Personal Data under Legal Obligation and Performance of a Task carried out in the Public Interest under the Statutory Guidance for Local Authorities on Services and Activities to Improve Young People’s Well-being 2012. Issued under Section 507B of the Education and Inspections Act 2006.
  • We have lawful basis for processing Special Category Data as it is necessary for reasons of health or social care, and substantial pubic interest.

Who we will Share your Data with

Your data may be shared with relevant staff in the Council’s Youth Review Team to enable to report to be written.   

How Long we will Hold your Data (Retention)

We will hold your data for until the report has been written and accepted by the Council Committee, but not longer than the 30th September 2020.

Transferring Data outside the European Economic Area

Your information is not processed outside of the European Economic Area.
