Brighton & Hove City Council would like your views on how Hollingbury Play Area can be improved, making it more accessible and offering opportunities to all children, regardless of disability and background.
The playground improvement programme is funded using Section 106 contributions received from developers as part of the planning process, play revenue and capital budgets. These funds can only be used on play areas within the vicinity of the development.
Due to this, the toilets are not included as part of this consultation.
This online survey is a great opportunity for residents, particularly parents and carers, to identify potential improvements and help shape the future of their play area for children and young people.
Due to ongoing maintenance requirements, water play does not feature as part of any upgrades, however, the new equipment installed will provide dynamic and layered play, inclusive of all physical and sensory needs.
Other areas of the open space will remain for informal play and leisure, with the new play features complementing the existing play equipment.
All safety surfacing will conform to BS EN 1177 European safety standards for play surfacing.
Only equipment and surfaces that are at end of life will be removed from any play area.
