Brighton & Hove Health and Wellbeing Board has produced the first draft of its 2022 Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).
The Health and Wellbeing Board have a statutory responsibility to publish and keep the PNA up to date. The purpose of the PNA is to assess and set out how the provision of pharmaceutical services can meet the current and future health needs of the population of Brighton & Hove for a period of up to three years. The document is then used by NHS England as the basis for determining market entry to the Pharmaceutical List, including the opening of additional pharmacies, the relocation of premises and amendments to pharmacy opening hours or pharmaceutical services.
There is a requirment to consult a specified range of relevant organisations on a draft of the PNA at least once during the process of developing the document. This consultation is also open to members of the public. Your feedback will be used to inform further development of the PNA which will be published in October this year.
If you require a copy of the PNA or this questionnaire in hard copy or a different alternative format or require assistance in responding to the questionnaire please contact us using the details provided above and we will do our best to assist you.
