Brighton & Hove Community Safety Strategy 2023-26

Closes 5 Feb 2023

Introduction

Brighton & Hove’s Community Safety Partnership is made up of representatives from statutory, voluntary and community organisations.  We work towards cutting crime and anti-social behaviour and making the city safer.  The Community Safety and Crime Reduction Strategy describes the direction of our work.

The next three year strategy will cover the period from April 2023 to March 2026.  It is informed by a strategic assessment and developed in consultation with partners.  The strategic assessment is an analytical document which describes the current crime and community safety picture, contributory factors, who’s affected, national and local contexts, and so on.  The 2022 strategic assessment has been completed and the report can be viewed at Safe in the City reports.

An interactive data summary can be found at this link.

We held a partnership stakeholder event in October 2022 to discuss the strategic assessment findings and to consider how the work should move forward.  We have now produced a draft strategy.  When the Strategy has been agreed, action plans will be drawn up to describe more specifically the partnership’s planned activities against which progress can be monitored.

We are inviting feedback on our draft strategy and would welcome your inputThis consultation is open until 5th February 2023
