Brighton & Hove City Council are committed to protecting your personal information. As a data controller we have a responsibility to make sure you know why and how your personal information is being collected in accordance with relevant data protection law.

What we will do with your data
We are collecting your data to gather feedback on how the temporary transport measures we are implementing across the city are helping you to remain safe during Covid-19.

This survey is intended to be anonymous and it should be possible for you to complete it without including any information which identifies you. However, should you enter any data in the form by which you may be identified, the Council undertakes that this data will be processed in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.

Lawful basis for processing
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is a legal obligation under Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The council is processing data in accordance with requirements under Section 3 of the Local Government Act 1999.

Who we will Share your Data with
No data which identifies you will be shared with any Council department. The collated data will be used to produce an anonymous statistical report, which will be shared as necessary within the Council to understand the impact of the temporary transport changes.

How long we will Hold your Data (Retention)
Individual survey responses will be retained for long enough to produce the anonymous report, after which they will all be securely destroyed

Transferring data outside the European Economic Area
Your information is not processed outside of the European Economic Area.
