We asked

After residents presented a petition in 2018 to the Environment, Transport and Sustainability committee, we agreed to write to residents in 2021.

The parking consultation let residents tell us if they feel there is the desire for a parking scheme in this area.

You said

96 residents responded out of the 408 addresses we sent questionnaires to.

  • 73% of residents support a residents parking scheme
  • 74% or residents support a light-touch parking scheme
  • 54% of residents would prefer restrictions Monday to Friday

We did

Based on the consultation results and following Environment, Transport and Sustainability (ETS) committee in March 2022, we agreed to write to residents with a detailed parking design drawing for this area.

Overview

This questionnaire is designed to gauge the principle of introducing a residents parking scheme in your area.

If replies to this initial consultation show support for a resident parking scheme, we will carry out a further consultation with information on a detailed design. This will give you opportunity to comment upon the proposals.

A paper version of the questionnaire is available by calling 01273 290510 and leaving a message with your name and address.
If you have any questions about this consultation please contact the Parking Infrastructure Team on 01273 295654, between 10am – 12noon, Tuesday – Thursday from 2 November 2021 until 25 November 2021.

What happens next

Thank you for taking part in the consultation. We will present the results to the Environment, Transport and Sustainability committee in March 2022. The committee will decide what happens next.
