We recently held a consultation in the Hollingdean Area to ask whether you would like a residents' parking scheme.
Part of the area said ‘Yes’ they would like to see a design for a residents' parking scheme. The rest of the area, including your road, said ‘No’.
Resident parking schemes must be area based and cannot be singular roads on their own. A scheme boundary is decided based on the results of a consultation.
The council will now be preparing a design for a full scheme operating Monday to Sunday 9am – 8pm for the area that showed support and will further consult those residents for their views on this.
If this scheme goes ahead this may lead to an increase in parking in the surrounding areas not included in the scheme, which includes your road.
We are now asking you to consider the map below, which shows the area that said 'yes' and answer this short survey to let us know whether you want to be included when we consult on a full design for the area in the coming months.
If further roads wish to be included in the upcoming design, we will need to report back to the Environment, Transport and Sustainability committee in January to seek approval to include the new roads.
Please now answer this short survey to let us know whether you want to be included when we consult on a full design for the area in the coming months.
If you have any questions, please contact the Parking Design & Implementation Team on 01273 291706, between 10am – 12noon, Tuesday – Thursday or email: parking.consultation@brighton-hove.gov.uk
