Opened 21 Apr 2023

The council has prepared proposals for a residents’ parking scheme in the area and wants to hear from you. The scheme would operate from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.

The scheme would contain:

  • Permit holder bays for use by residents and their visitors during enforcement hours
  • Bays for loading, car club vehicles, Blue Badge holders, motorcycles and bicycles could be available on request
  • Double yellow lines will be placed at junctions and over dropped-kerbs
  • Exclusive paid parking bays near parades of shops and businesses
  • Shared bays for use by residents and paid parking

This questionnaire is designed to gauge levels of support for the introduction of a residents parking scheme in your area.

You can view our proposals in detail by downloading the PDF plan at the bottom of this page.

Alternatively the scheme proposals are also viewable once you begin the survey along with frequently asked questions.

A printed version of the map showing the proposed scheme design is available by calling 01273 292181 or emailing parking.consultation@brighton-hove.gov.uk

The 2023/24 permit prices are also available to view at the bottom of this page.

What happens next

The results will be reported to the council’s Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee in September 2023 where elected members will decide if there is sufficient support for the proposals to proceed to the next stage of scheme development.
