Overview

Introduction of Red Routes along A23 and Lewes Road

As part of our work to tackle anti-social parking and to keep traffic in the city moving, we’re going to be introducing Red Routes in two areas of Brighton & Hove, part of the A23 and part of Lewes Road.

  • A23 London Road and Preston Road, between Cheapside and South Road
  • Lewes Road between Elm Grove and the southern end of the Vogue Gyratory.

Introducing Red Routes means changing the current lines from double yellow to double red and gives us greater power to enforce, by camera and civil enforcement officers (traffic wardens), the parking restrictions.

We want to hear your comments on this. Please read the information in the attached leaflet at the bottom of this page then complete our short survey to tell us what you think.
