We asked

After the Environment, Transport and Sustainability (ETS) Committee on 23 June 2020, we agreed to write to all residents and businesses in the Surrenden Road parking consultation area.

We asked if residents and businesses in this area would support a light-touch residents parking scheme. The proposed scheme would operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 10am and 2pm to 3pm.

You said

74% of respondents support the implementation of a residents parking scheme.

Find more information in the ETS committee report.

We did

Based on the consultation results, we will be including the proposal for a light-touch scheme in a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO).

The TRO will be advertised in February 2021.

A report with the comments received to the TRO will go to ETS Committee in Summer 2021.

Overview

We’re asking residents and businesses in the Surrenden Road area if they would support a resident parking scheme.

What happens next

All comments received during the consultation will be carefully considered.

The results will be reported to the council's Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee on Tuesday 24 November 2020 where councillors will decide if there is sufficient support for the proposals to proceed to the next stage of scheme development.
