Surrenden Area Residents Parking Consultation

Closed 14 Aug 2020

Opened 17 Jul 2020

Overview

In January 2020 we consulted residents and businesses in the Surrenden area to gauge levels of support for a residents parking scheme.

The majority of people who responded said they preferred a light-touch scheme for two hours during the day. It is proposed that these hours would operate from 9am to 10am and 2pm to 3pm, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). We are now asking for your views on this. Please refer to the consultation materials sent to you by mail. The plan enclosed shows details of the residents parking scheme proposed for the area.

One submission is permitted from each property so please discuss this with people you live with to ensure that the views of occupants are given.

If you would like to request a paper version of the questionnare, please call our dedicated voicemail service on 01273 290 472 between 9am and 1pm, Monday to Friday.

All comments received during the consultation will be carefully considered.

The prices listed below and within the consultation leaflet are the light touch parking scheme charges as from late summer 2020.

These fees and charges were agreed by the relevant committee earlier in the year and would apply if a scheme was introduced. This would be subject to any further changes for the next financial year.

What happens next?

The results will be reported to the council's Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee on Tuesday 29 September 2020 where councillors will decide if there is sufficient support for the proposals to proceed to the next stage of scheme development.
